I have been tatting, just not getting online much. This is from the Big Book of Tatting by Darlene Polanchic, I believe. I also made a collar for a friend. I added a few more motifs than it calls for....at least it won't be too small. I'm not sure what to add for a closure..... My friend said something about sewing it onto a white cloth, made to put inside of whatever blouse or dress she is wearing. If that is the case, maybe it doesn't need a closure.
I hope it isn't too small to see. It took awhile to make. Those chains in the center of the motif cross each other and I wanted them to all cross the same way.
