I placed an item on eBay for auction. It was the blue necklace with the white 'pearl' beads and the gold coated seed beads. I watched it every day. I got one question from someone who said I did pretty work and asked if I would post more. I replied thank you and that yes I would be posting more. Near the end of the auction I saw that 2 people were 'watching' the item. No one bid on it. I was a little crushed, but heck, that was the first time I'd ever tried anything like it! EBay has a re list item policy that is kind of cool. If you don't sell your item in the first bidding, you may re list it and if it sells the second time, they refund your listing fee. I decided I wanted to do that. I went through the whole thing trying to re list it. I wanted to add a second category, though and ran into trouble trying it. I finally asked if re listing made it such that you may not change the listing, just rerun it. I'd spent a lot of time trying to add the second listing. The answer is that yes, re listing is just re listing. I'm going to do it anyway, but I'm going to post another necklace in 2 categories when I do it. That way people who see it in the 2ND category can go looking for it in the first. I did get a message from a fellow tatter who does a good business on eBay. She said she liked my work and not to give up, sometimes people want to see what you've done a few times before they decide to buy from you.
Someone here had asked me about taking pictures of my work instead of scanning it. I went and spent my birthday money on a less expensive digital camera, but not the cheapest. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to get the proper lighting and quality of the pictures. I've used up a set of batteries doing it! It's good I have a sense of humor, LOL. I played with that camera for one day and used up the batteries.
Wish me luck!
